Why food security and supply?
Water and energy are two resources in heavy demand during the production and distribution of food. Soil is a living material under stress. Everyone throughout the food supply chain, from farm to fork, will have to work together towards a more sustainable future food balance – to increase productivity while reducing the negative environmental impacts from over-stressing resources; to improve and shorten supply chains dramatically; to reduce food waste; and to support agricultural changes by making healthier dietary choices.
