Jacinta Challinor manages the Green Infrastructure Project for Wrexham County Borough Council which aims to improve areas of urban green spaces for wildlife and people. This 3 year Welsh Government funded project works in partnership with North Wales Willdife Tust, Keep Wales Tidy and local communities to increase biodiversity and encourage active participation in nature conservation through the creation of wildflower meadow, fruit orchards, tree planting and habitat management.
Jacinta has a BSc in Environmental Studies and Geography and began working for a local wildlife charity known as NEW Wildlife shortly after graduation before moving into Flintshire Mental Health Services, where her passion for supporting people to connect with nature as a wellbeing tool grew. Jacinta has now been working with Wrexham County Borough Council for over 2 years and is looking forward to expanding her work across the county.
