22 Million Strong

Carbon Copy is proud to be a member of The Climate Coalition, the UK’s largest group of people dedicated to action against climate change: one of over 100 organisations, 22 million strong.
Together, the coalition has already achieved so much; from the campaign that led to the UK becoming the first major economy to set a legally binding net zero target; to making history at the biggest ever mass lobby for climate, nature and people; to reaching millions in the annual Show the Love campaign.
We strongly believe in the power of collaboration and in the ethos that we just need to get on with it. We joined other organisations in the coalition from the public, private and third sectors – as well as community groups, local leaders and people from all walks of life – to send a unified message that we want to see the UK forge a resilient recovery for a healthy and safer world. Our declaration is simple enough:
The time is now to lead the UK towards a healthier, greener, fairer future. Ahead of hosting the United Nations climate summit in Glasgow this year, we can build back better together if we:
- Unleash a clean energy revolution that boosts jobs across the UK, making our transport, power and housing fit for the future.
- Protect, restore and expand our green and wild spaces; allowing nature to thrive, taking carbon from the air and boosting the nation’s health.
- Leave no one behind by increasing support to those most vulnerable to the impacts of climate change at home and abroad.
The UK must lead the world by ensuring our recovery gets us on track to net-zero emissions and limits the rise in global temperature to 1.5 degrees C. Our best chance of building a resilient economy goes hand in hand with tackling climate change. We are ready to play our part, and we call on you to join us.
Individuals underestimate the power of contribution – of acting collectively within their sphere of influence to tackle the piece of the problem that’s right in front of them. This community perspective is so often left out of the environmental discussion and yet it’s vital for identifying and implementing real solutions. We look forward to representing this perspective within The Climate Coalition and more broadly; to amplifying a mosaic of voices leading change locally across the UK.
