Carbon Copy is a UK charity inspiring more big-thinking local action for climate and nature. We build community around solutions so people can copy what’s working.

The charity was set up in 2020 at the beginning of this ‘decade of action’ and depends on your donations and grants to do its work.

We focus on systemic change and are not an activist organisation. Climate breakdown and biodiversity loss represent a challenge where local action is crucial, not despite the magnitude of the problem, but because of it.

Local is indispensable as a scale for action as it can be responsive to conditions on the ground, has an inherent legitimacy with local people, and is better placed for adaptation to our changing climate; making it crucial to any coherent national policy.

Our resources serve as inspiration and are also instructive about what could be: a national collection of climate action stories told by a thousand local organisations; place by place information about Climate Action Plans and the changing climate; a popular podcast and blog; and nationwide events.
