Our story

Westfield Barn and Angela’s House are two recent developments that have put carbon savings at the very heart of the design and build.

What’s more, the two social housing developments aim to provide high quality homes to those not served by the current housing market.

Westfield Barn provides 20 eco-homes for the over 55s, while Angela’s House is a women’s recovery housing project offering homes to 14 women and children.

We will also deliver an electric car share scheme at Westfield Barn, alongside high-speed charging infrastructure designed to benefit both residents and the surrounding community.

Both projects have been partnerships between RCH, Logic Architecture, 190 Manufacturing and Steel River Consulting.

Our advice

The initial concept was to deliver housing that provided residents with reduced-cost heat and light at Westfield Barn. This soon evolved into a design that could provide residents with near zero cost power using solar, battery back-up and ground source heat.
