ISO Systems UK is a well-established family business with an unblemished reputation amongst our clients, certification body auditors, regulators and fellow consultants alike. Our ethos is to assist all businesses on their ISO journey, irrelevant of type, size and profit margin.
We work from a home office, as opposed to renting office space, and have invested a substantial amount of money in the following: solar panels; full wall and roof insulation; full double-glazed doors and windows replacement; LED lights throughout; replacement of full heating system/boiler with hive control/smart meter; and tree planting. We also car share.
We have 100% paperless management systems and 100% remote implementation. The biggest challenges were persuading both clients and certification bodies of the benefits of using ICT to avoid the need for face-to-face meetings. It’s about educating people to use available ICT to save unnecessary travel.

Our advice
Firstly, have a system in place i.e., ISO 14001 EMS, to give a firm foundation for the journey. Use standards such as ISO 50001 (energy management) and PAS2060 (carbon neutrality).
And above all, go beyond the requirements of these standards with a single objective of the ongoing reduction of C02, so all of the systems have one purpose.
