Our story

The Waste strategy team engaged with the schools within the City to set up recycling facilities and ensure they are used correctly. Around 25 schools have engaged so far. During this process we gave talks to the staff to explain why we were doing this and the importance placed on recycling to remove as much as possible from the general waste stream. We gave the schools posters, bins and ensured that the collection arrangements were in place and working correctly for each of the schools.

Our advice
Spending time in schools and understanding each schools different requirements helps to ensure the correct facilities and engagement levels.
